Claiming Planner helps people compare Social Security retirement benefit scenarios without uploading their earnings history.

Why it exists

Stopping work and claiming benefits are separate decisions, but many estimates make them difficult to compare. This calculator lets you model changing earnings and three claiming dates, then inspect the formula and break-even estimates.

How it is maintained

The calculation engine and annual rule data are kept separate and tested against published Social Security Administration values and examples. Sources, assumptions, version information, and the next review date are published on the methodology page.
